Happy Birthday Sgt. Pepper!
Tomorrow marks 40 years since the Beatles, via Capitol Records, released Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in the UK (it was released the following day in the U.S.). This album firmly holds it's place in music history as one of the most notorious, well known, and most appreciated albums of all time. The fact that I, who was born in 1980, can recognize and appreciate the famous album cover, and the songs on the album, is a testament to Sgt. Pepper's staying power and ability to transcend trends in music and popular culture across time and generations. Wow, 40 years is OLD! I hope I am just as awesome as I am now, when I am 40 :)
