My attention has recently been drawn to the music of Elliott Smith, whose song "Miss Misery" was nominated for an Academy Award in 1997 for the film Good Will Hunting. Before taking his own life on October 21, 2003, Smith released 2 albums, Dead Air and Figure 8.

His poignant lyrics are the type that listeners can relate real life experiences to easily. For this reason I have chosed the following song, from the album Figure 8 as my song pick-of-the-week.
