GOOD NEWS!!

Hi Hi everyone! I have some fantastical music news today:

1.) I have purchased my Bonnaroo ticket, and will most definitely be getting dirt under my toenails in Manchester, TN this June with Bruce, Trent, Ad Rock, and many more!! I heart summertime :)

2.) I am this close to getting an all expense paid FREE trip to Coachella, in Indio CA, courtesy of 101.9RXP in New York. I qualified for the drawing tonight, and we'll know for sure on Friday at 5pm, whether I'm the grand prize winner. Tune in to congratulate me. I AM feeling lucky :-D

Coachella East = All Points West Music and Arts Festival!

AAAAHHHHH, FESTIVAL MADNESS!!! Some people go to the beach, some people take long bike rides and watch the sunset, but for me, a concert freak, and the only Italian who is actually allergic to the sun, summer means outdoor music festivals! (and lots and lots of sunscreen!)


Well, its official: The Coachella people ARE putting on a music and arts festival on MY coast, the EAST coast, on August 8,9, and 10 at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. This festival will be called the All Points West Festival, and the lineup is still TBA but rumors are flying already that Radiohead may be playing!

Unfortunately, and rather stupidly if you ask me, All Points West is the exact same weekend as New Jersey's first annual Vineland Music Festival, which is put on by the promoters of Lollapalooza. Luckily, Chicago's darling veteran, Lollapalooza will take place on August 1-3, 2008.

I love August! EEEEEk, I can't wait for lineups to be announced.

Also, don't forget that Pearl Jam is still rumored to be headlining the Bonnaroo music and arts festival which will take place in Manchester Tennesee early in the festival season, on June 12-15.

Is Coachella coming to the East Coast?!?!

One of my fav gossip bloggers, Perez Hilton, has reported the fabulous rumor that the annual Coachella Music Festival, which normally shakes down in Indio California, may be heading East this summer:

"Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that the Coachella Music Festival is heading east this year!
"In addition to having the festival outside of Palm Springs, like they do every year, this year they're mounting an east coast version of Coachella in New York or possibly New Jersey," an insider tells us.
The East coast version is expected to be a few months after the Cali affair. "It should be in August," we're told.

As a New York music (and festival) freak, I would love love love for this to be true! Inside sources are technically remaining mum at the moment, but are giving me every reason to believe this is true! YAY!
