Crazy ears

For someone who works in copyright infringement, I often erroneously conclude that two songs are very similar when, in reality, they are completely different. My latest crazy connection is between Homecoming, by Kanye West, and featuring Chris Martin from Coldplay, and Cherry Blossom Girl, by Air! Yeah, I know how crazy it sounds but I can't listen to one without thinking I'm hearing the other in some weird way. Do you think I'm nuts?
