Air Guitar Nation

Last night I attended the Premier of Air Guitar Nation at the Tribeca Film Festival! This documentary, detailed the 2003 birth of a U.S. air guitar championship, followed by the triumph of American air guitarist, C-Diddy, at the international finals in Finland!

This film was a high-energy and hilarious yet true account of how one regular guy gained international celebrity status by simply PRETENDING to play the guitar! I was suprised and impressed with how seriously all the contestants took their unusual performances.

Watch video of C-Diddy's 2003 world championship performance on his official fan site! I was lucky enough to catch up with C-Diddy after the show, and I do believe I have a new crush! There's just something about a man who plays guitar that does it for me every time.......even when the guitar is INVISIBLE!

YOU'RE JEALOUS!

Tribeca Film Festival!

Im finally able to go to TFF events this year because Im not tied up in school or studying for anything!

Last night I attended the world premier of Fifty Pills. This film, directed by Theo Avgerinos, was a relatable film which follows a college freshman through the course of one day while he tries to sell 50 pills of extasy. He has to run all over Manhattan, and even to Long Island, answering pages received on his roomate's leopard printed pager, delivering the pills and collecting the money.

The protagonist, Darren, played by Lou Taylor Pucci (who you may know from Thumbsucker) did a great job of playing the awkward good kid who was tossed into the gangsta role of drug dealing just for one day. His confrontations and experiences throughout the day include an interesting encounter with Eddie Kaye Thomas, who played Shitbrick in the American Pie movies. Thomas's character, Ralphie, has a hilarious obsession with the old TV show Different Strokes.
"Its not just Willis, it's what everyone was talkin bout!"

All the while, Darrin is just trying to stay in school and win the heart of his love interest, Gracie, played by Kristen Bell of the TV show Veronica Mars.

I really enjoyed the soundtrack of the movie, which the Director told the audience, during a post-screening Q&A contains songs from bands such as LaRocca (Ireland), Joy Zipper (New York), and New Sense (Wisconsin), all of which can be found on MySpace Music, and I have already linked them!

I really enjoyed the movie, and I would totally recommend it to anyone who likes funny movies about college kids who get in trouble, drink, and do drugs. Add to that a killer indie soundtrack, and you've got a good time!

Jack is Back!

Yo, I couldn't believe my eyes.....Titanic II????

Unbelieveable!

Pearl Jam Sightings

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE
Be on the lookout, Pearl Jam Fans. Our favorite band will be performing on Saturday Night Live this week, April 15th, with host Lindsay Lohan. I could go into a really long and emphatic tirade about how she is not worthy of being in the presence of the greatest band of all time, with her skanky ass, and fire crotch, let alone announcing them on their first SNL performance since like 1994!

We've come a long way from the good old days when Emilo Estevez and Sharon Stone announced Pearl Jam on stage at 30 Rock, havn't we? Where exactly is Ms. Lohan's talent anyway? I mean, she certainly can't list blow jobs or drug-crazed bulimic sex addict under skills on her resume, and as far as I know, those are pretty much the only valid examples of where she's achieved success.......

oh wait I said I wasnt going to do that....anyway....

DAVID LETTERMAN
PJ will be appearing on David Letterman on May 4th, the week of their album release. I don't have anything bad to say about David Letterman.

VH1
Rumor also has it that there is an episode of VH1 Storytellers a la Pearl Jam in the works, but I will not reveal my sources.....hell its probably public info by now anyway. I keep forgetting that there are actually people that are paid to report this kind of info, and dont catch on late like me cuz Im stuck behind a desk full of dead people files....

A very special Deal or no Deal

SNL, my favorite show, aired a super funny spoof of the recent hit game show, Deal or No Deal.
I dont know why, but jokes that involve people with accents are always funnier to me!

Pretty Damn Cool....

Who is the BIGGEST celebrity of the day?? The answer comes from deep within the dessert in Nevada. Maxim has put a 75 by 100 foot vinyl replica of the cover of their 100th issue, featuring a hot ass picture of Eva Longoria, in the dessert!

The Superficial has reported that this image can be seen using the zoom tool on google earth, which, if you dont' know already, is freakin awesome. I've actually used google earth to zoom in from outer space to my mom's house and saw her car in the driveway! SO cool!

Anyway, download google earth and check it out. Or just look at this picture below! I wish I was on the cover, mooning the cosmos!
